Step 1: Gather all dirty clothes and separate them into color-coded piles.
Step 2: Sort clothes into whites and darks, then sub-sort into delicates, towels, and everything else.
Step 3: Run the washing machine, then the dryer, and pray for the best.
Step 4: Fold, hang, or fold-and-hang, then admire your handiwork.
Step 5: Repeat as needed, until the mountain is conquered.
